Margarida Rosado da Fonseca heads the EU and Competition practice. With more than two decades of experience, her professional career has included acting  both as an EU and Competition (and regulatory) lawyer and as Merger Director at the Portuguese Competition Authority. She provides local and cross-border legal advice to private companies and public institutions from all business sectors acting before both administrative authorities and courts. Her specialist advice includes a preventive approach, notably in the context of compliance programs and envisaged transactions or arrangements between undertakings from a Competition perspective, as well as seamless legal advice concerning EU matters. She is also experienced in dealing with investigations for alleged anticompetitive practices and State Aid proceedings, both from the perspective of the participating undertakings and that of third parties.
