Amendments to the Portuguese Insolvency and Companies Recovery Code

There has been recently published the Law no. 16/2012, of 20 April, which amends the Portuguese Insolvency and Companies Recovery Code and introduces a special procedure for the recovery of debtors in a difficult economic situation. We analyse in this Flash the rules applying to the new special rescue procedure and summarise the remaining amendments introduced in this Code that are relevant for corporate insolvency.
